ACCURATE and the ENVIRONMENT

At Accurate Cedar we recycle more than 75% of all the material we remove when we demolish existing fences and in 2010 this amounted to more than 100 tons of material diverted from landfills. Concrete waste is crushed and reused as fill or road base while the waste lumber is used for such purposes as bio-energy or composting into mulch for gardens. We also re-use materials in place wherever possible and practical. Posts that are still structurally sound are left in place saving money for the client as well as prolonging their usefulness. We have even reused fence boards in a few projects by trimming and sorting for quality and we are continually looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact.

All the lumber we source for our customers is produced locally by companies that promote sustainability. By buying locally we support local businesses and lessen the use of fossil fuels for transportation.
